Be sure to pick up a Lopez Map (available at the ferry landing, at our rental booth, and from the Chamber of Commerce in the Village) for lots of helpful sightseeing info. You can also view/download the Map from the Lopez Island Chamber of Commerce website. Traveling by bike also allows you to avoid lengthy wait times in the ferry lines. Walk-on/bike passengers can arrive 15-20 minutes before the boat loads, while visitors with vehicles are cautioned to arrive at least 60 minutes early, and still risk not getting on!

FAQ’s
Do I need to transport the boat on my car?
If you choose to transport the boat, you must have an adequate roof rack (or trailer) with paddling and straps, and be able to safely load and unload the boats. You will be responsible for loading the boats and tying them down, and must agree to take responsibility for any damage that may occur to your vehicle or the equipment.
I have no experience – can I rent a kayak?
I am planning a trip – can I rent a boat for the weekend?
Yes. With enough advance notice, we can usually outfit you with the boats and equipment that you will need for an overnight or extended adventure. We also have a limited number of first come, first served equipment available for last-minute trips.
