This trip is ideal for all ages. Our experienced staff are excited to welcome you to the island and share with you numerous activities, an amazing marine environment and the laid back community of "The Friendly Isle." No previous paddling or camping experience is necessary. We welcome beginners and experienced adventurers alike! Cost includes 2 meals per day, guides, equipment, and camping fees as listed in your confirmation packet.
On Day 1 your guides will pick you up at the Lopez Island ferry terminal mid-morning (based on current sailing schedule). After a quick tour past some of the islands' historic landmarks, we'll show you to your campsite. Today's activities include sea kayaking, clamming (in season), a short hike to enjoy the sunset (weather permitting), and an evening campfire. Your lunch and dinner will be provided by our staff.
After a night under the stars, we are ready for more island fun! Today's activities include a bike ride, a view hike, and some time on the beach. Your guides will fill you in on interesting island history and lore. Late afternoon, its back to the ferry terminal for the return trip to Anacortes. Today's breakfast and lunch will be provided by our staff.
The trip cost shown on this page is per person. If you are registering a group of paddlers, please call to inquire about a group discount (for 6 or more paddlers).
The Lopez Island 2 Day Adventure Trip is ideal for young adventurers over the age of 6, when accompanied by a parent. Our experienced staff are excited to welcome your family to the San Juan Islands for a multi-day sea kayaking experience! No previous paddling or camping experience is necessary.
Young adventurers enjoy the excitement of exploring the coastal environment, however, they do best when activities are kept short and plans are flexible. Please take this into consideration when scheduling your trip. Our staff is eager to assist you and we have substantial experience with paddlers of all ages.
Adults and those who are new to camping trips may enjoy spending the night at a local B&B instead of camping. Adding a stay at an island B&B may be just the thing for those who are not accustomed to camping but are otherwise eager to participate in this trip. Our staff will be happy to recommend suitable lodging that will not disrupt the flow of the trip and assist you in making the arrangements. The cost of the lodging will be added to your trip base cost. Some of our 2-day trips do not provide for this option, as the group will not be returning to the island in the evening, but instead will be camping on an uninhabited State Park island.
We provide lunch and dinner on Day #1, and breakfast and lunch on Day #2. Your guides will prepare your meals in our well-stocked "outfitter" kitchen! You will enjoy delicious and filling Northwest-style fare, which may include smoked salmon fettuccine, clam linguine, fresh omeltes, and more! If you have food allergies or special dietary concerns, please bring this to the attention of our staff when you register, so that we have sufficient time to alter the trip menu (when possible). For severe food restrictions it may be necessary for you to bring along some of your own meals - please call to discuss.
Custom group trips, private tours, and personalized adventures are also available. We ask for a minimum of 6 paddlers to schedule a custom adventure.
