Pressing apples is a family activity! Bring your own apples (bruised is ok) or buy them here, then run them through our apple press to make your own apple juice. We recommend bringing a container(s) with a secure lid for your juice, and another for the pressed apples if you'd like to take it home for applesauce. It can easily take up to an hour to press a box of apples, so dress warm and plan to stay awhile!

While you're in Index you can also enjoy a local hike, some fall photography, watching the salmon spawning in the Skykomish River, a football game on our big screens, and a warm lunch in the River House Cafe.

2013 dates are; Oct 19-20 and 26-27

In addition to pressing apples, we have a Dutch Oven Cooking Class available this month so you can learn about cooking with cast-iron.
