Your 12-17 year old will LOVE our Island Adventure Camp! This 7-day overnight camp gives your young explorer the opportunity to kayak, swim, hike, bike, and camp in the diverse and beautiful San Juan Islands! The focus of this camp is on being safe and responsible while enjoying the outdoors with others. Your teen will participate in many fun and challenging outdoor activities - and will have the opportunity to assist in decision-making, activity preparations, each one teach one scenarios, and other leadership activities.
Experience this unique coastal environmnet with activities such as sea kayaking, hiking, biking, canoeing, swimming, camping, and basic rescue and safety principles. Your child will learn Leave No Trace principles for stewardship of the environment, plant and tree identification, names and characteristics of numerous saltwater critters, and so much more!
Our instructors are safe, experienced, and energetic enough to supervise, teach, and challenge your young adventurer. They hold certifications in Teaching, Sea Kayaking, Swiftwater Rescue, Lifeguarding, and Wilderness First Aid. Our number one priority is to keep your child safe. We also teach them to make safe, responsible decisions when on or near rivers, lakes, and oceans.
Our campers return year after year to increase their paddling skills, play outside, and have fun with our instructors and fellow campers!
